(nothing earth shatteringly horrible in here, but it does prove again that Palin is not so much a reformer as an exactly-the-samer. she takes money she really shouldn't, then pretends she's trying to change the way things are done. ilsa.)

ANCHORAGE, Sept. 8 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a "per diem" allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.

The governor also has charged the state for travel expenses to take her children on official out-of-town missions. And her husband, Todd, has billed the state for expenses and a daily allowance for trips he makes on official business for his wife.

This is good stuff. Like you say, Ilsa, she makes a big deal about being a reformer--selling the plane, driving herself to work, cooking her own meals. I think this tidbit could pile onto the other evidence that she's full of it.

yeah, except for the walmart moms who are just gonna say how great it is she flies coach w/ her family, blah blah blah. Sorry, i'm still bitter from the comments posted from the gloria s. article. Do these women even care she isnt qualified to be #2 in the companies they work for?

this is just one more thing to cut into her credibility. and since people don't know her, there's i think it will be easier for her to be defined as a liar/old-school politician.
