- First, to echo Penny's comment, I was also taken aback by Palin's nastiness. And, honestly, I was a little concerned that McCain had found such an able attack dog. But, I've been reading a bit about the reactions her speech has gotten (thanks, John) and am choosing to believe those that wrote that by preaching to the base so much, she's actually hurt the campaign by turning off moderate undecideds.
- Second, I'm blown away that she keeps openly lying. That has to come back to bite her.
- Third, I'm beginning to come to the viewpoint that Bristol should be fair play because she continues to push her family into the spotlight as one of the chief reasons to vote for her.
- Fourth, I can't say I'm surprised, but I'm still aghast that Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) called the Obamas "uppity" today.
- Fifth, I'm heartened huge swell in donations to the Obama-Biden campaign that has been recorded in the hours since Palin's speech.
- Finally, this comment on Politico is the best line I've seen so far: "Mrs. Palin needs to be reminded that Jesus Christ was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a governor."
Hopefully, tomorrow my job won't get in the way of my blogging (which, I'm sure you can all tell I love.)

This blog better be ready for full time soon, because I'm definitely dedicating more time to it than my actual job.
