just when i think repugs can't possibly get any more devious, shit like this happens and i'm reminded that there is pretty much nothing they won't do to win.
That's horrifying! I hadn't understood just why the Wisconsin Repugs were trying to delay the recall elections. It's fucking unreal that they're abusing their control of state government so blatantly to undermine the democratic process.
This is probably why they get so up in arms about Democratic voting shenanigans. They just think about what they would do if they were the Dems and then accuse us of them.
I'm actually kind of happy that Weiner isn't resigning. I'm not trying to defend his actions but so far as we know, he didn't break any laws. It's not like he solicited prostitutes (a la sitting senator David Vitter) or paid hush money and got people jobs to cover it up (I'm looking at you former senators Edwards and Ensign). He fucked up. Royally. His wife should chuck him. But, I'm much more concerned about influence peddling and kickbacks (yeah, you Mr. Rangel). Whenever a Congressperson gets caught up in something like that they get censured, at worst, but when they diddle around (and he still claims he only did so cyber-ly) we run them out of office. I'd rather they focused energy on the scandals that really impact how our government works.
Another point: How is Breitbart's threat about other photos not blackmail?

Problem is, nationally all anyone will talk about is Anthony Weiner. No one will focus on actual issues like this.

weiner should resign and spare his wife all of the media attention. at least this takes away from santorum's announcement and that makes me happy.
