Bridget and I were talking about this, and so many of her other gaffes, and remarking that she's like a 6th grader trying to bullshit her way through not knowing the question her teacher just asked her.
But, it gets better. She's been doubling-down on her comments saying that technically he warned the British when they capture him. Um, we've seen the clip and that's not what you meant. And what about those pesky bells?
Anyhow, Palin has an advantage that those struggling 6th graders don't: hordes of ridiculous supporters willing to go onto Wikipedia to edit history to fall in line with Palin's account. There have been fights over the Paul Revere page as Palinistas keep adding the line: "also, most colonial residents at the time considered themselves British as they were all legally British subjects." See, he did warn those British. Actually, looking at the construction of that sentence, I have to think that Palin herself is behind it.
One more awesome note: Over the weekend, Fox News highlighted a story about the Mama Grizzly with a picture of...Tina Fey.

Is she real? She's not, really, right? At this point Tina Fey just writes her material and coaches her on the most imbecilic delivery possible.
One other option: the GOP had her as their VP candidate. Oh christ.
