First, excellent news out of Connecticut as the state Supreme Court legalized gay marriage. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the voters in California come down on the same side in a few weeks.
Second, remember how McCain said to a questioner at the town hall that he probably hadn't heard of Fannie and Freddie. Well, that guy's way over educated and ticked off that McCain would make that assumption.
Finally, speaking of the GOP underestimating relatively young black men, I really liked this post on the GOP's shock at Barack climbing the political ladder to a lead in the presidential race so quickly by Ta-Nehisi Coates of the Atlantic. Money quote: "Electoral politics are about showing and proving--no amount of Affirmative Action can get you to the presidency. You have to compete and win. If you're the sort of voter who shows up at one of these dead-end rallies, who likely believes that Obama never deserved the hype he got, that he was only a big deal because he was the 'black guy,' then, yeah, you are liable to be stunned when he Buster Douglasses that ass."

i loved the comments from the guy at the debate. interesting insights into the process. i've heard mccain say that before to audience members about fannie mae so i'm not sure it was racist. just stupid.
10 bonus points--hell 10,000--for using Buster Douglas as a verb!
