Thank you Senator Kennedy for being unabashedly and unceasingly on the side of those who most needed the help of a United States Senator.
Yup, he was from one of the richest most powerful families this country has seen, but he was a stalwart for "the least of these." There was nothing in it for him to advocate on behalf of people who needed a powerful advocate, he was just doing the right thing...which is kinda the idea of what an elected official should do, huh? (when someone passes away it's ok to say sappy, obvious things in praise of them, right?)
He's the kind of person that makes me proud to be a Democrat and an American (but I still am ambivelent about his baseball team...there...I said it!)
