You May Not Actually Be Bush, But...
Morning Roundup--The Final Stretch
CNN, CBS, MediaCurves, the focus groups, all the same results. Obama wins big.
One more data piece on the Obama debate win from Democracy Corps:
Obama was seen as the clear victor in the debate, and a group that was much more disposed to support McCain at the outset instead shifted decisively toward Obama (42 to 20 percent) after viewing the debate.
So, let's give the unanimous debate win to Obama.
Gail Collins is reading my mind. I'm ready for election night.
Joe the Plumber may have been a McCain campaign plant. This should surprise no one.
The Virginia GOP has a new mailer about Obama that is so nasty it has to be seen to be believed.

Sassy on Location: Louisville Airport
- I heard a pretty nasty attack ad on Louisville radio, from the Obama campaign. With carnival music in the background, it mentioned that the Iraqi government is planning on spending some of its oil wealth on a gigantic ferris wheel in Baghdad, and that McCain, by virtue of continuing to support the war, supports the ferris wheel project. Of course, it drips with irony. I have to say, I found the ad pretty distasteful. Politico has the ad.
- Lou Dobbs is a hack. In his lead-up to the debate, he did a piece about Obama's connections to William Ayers. The story featured a quote from a McCain supporter, but no one from the Obama team. It also highlighted Obama's and Ayers' work supporting ACORN, basically giving the impression that ACORN is a radical organization bent on the destruction of democracy. Dobbs finished the piece by mentioning the NY Times story, which concluded that Obama has no real connection to Ayers, saying that he doesn't buy the NYT conclusion because the mere presence of the story proved a connection. Huh? Dobbs also got breathless about both candidates refusal to address the teeming horders of evil Mexicans flooding across our Southern border. What a jackhole.

McCain's JV Squad Puts Out an Ad

I love Chicago
The mayor teed off today on John McCain for including his brother in a negative ad about Barack Obama's Chicago political roots. Daley warned that McCain has his own vulnerabilities, and said, "When you start throwing mud, mud is going to be thrown at you and it's going to be sticky."
