Sarah Palin, what did we do for entertainment before you showed up?

well, i used to watch "seventh heaven" for entertainment. then it was canceled.

here is what nate has to say:

Is it a big deal that Palin wrote some notes on her hand? No, not really. Lots of politicians carry notes with them (if not, as in Palin's case, literally on them). If this were Mitt Romney, it wouldn't have been a particularly big story. Nevertheless, politics is inherently contextual, and this was something that was bound to play into every negative caricature of Mrs. Palin. Somebody needed to take Palin aside and tell her: Honey, this is going to make you look ridiculous. Can't you write on a notecard instead?

I hate to disagree with Nate, but she looked ridiculous glancing at her hand while giving a comment in that Tea Party Q&A. It's not like she's trying to talk about anything new and revolutionary. Her notes consisted of 6 words! "Energy. Tax Cuts. Lift America's Spirits." That's all she ever talks about! If she's in danger of forgetting to mention those things then she's stupider than I thought.

I can't believe people consider her a credible threat to Barack, you know, the one they keep making teleprompter jokes about. A week and a half ago, he showed more knowledge of legislative details than the authors of the bills in question and now we have Snowbilly Sarah failing to remember that she wants to talk about energy, tax cuts, and lifting America's spirits. Please.

Look, I'm typing this comment with a note written on my hand (to remember to pick up dry cleaning), but I'm not trying to tell people that I'm qualified for our nation's highest office.

Dave, you're on FIRE today.

did you come up with "snowbilly sarah"? if so, we might need to take this blog public.

I'd love to take credit for "Snowbilly" but Wonkette's been using that one for quite a while. That doesn't change the fact that I'm fired up!
