Report from Hammond
Josh and I went to Hammond yesterday. A bit uneventful from a canvassing point of view (we basically had zero conversations), but it was great to see such energy from the Obama team. The headquarters was overwhelmed with volunteers! We were told
that the precincts we canvassed would be hit 5 (!) more times before Election Day! Of course, they still can't believe that Sassy might be there on Tuesday. [UPDATE: I was just told that Sassy will be visiting Gary and not Hammond. Sorry, Hammond! Congrats, Gary!]

that's a great pic. thanks for sharing your experience, george. yep, sassy will be in gary on tuesday at 6 am. anyone wanna come? there's still room in the subaru.
bridg and i took an unplanned tour through gary last night on the way home. it was all dave's fault, since he wasn't there to navigate (and drive). i must say, it doesn't have the same character as chesterton.
as usual, bridg and i took our neuroses with us to indianapolis. we refused to let strangers carpool with us and wouldn't let other volunteers come along with us to canvass. i'm 40 years old, do i really need to meet new people at this point in my life?
Yes, when asked if Ilsa and I would pair up with anyone else, I responded, "sorry, we have our own schedule to keep." thank god no one pressed me on that point as I have no idea what that means.
