kids--i'm off to pittsburgh tomorrow for a few days and plus have SO much to do before i start my new job. it's totally frustrating b/c there's lots i want to post about the transition. i'll try to find some time next week. in the meantime, carry on...

Bush's new regs are despicable. They are especially appalling now that the voting public has overwhelmingly repudiated his policies. Again.
Here's my question about all this: how reversable are federal regulations? Can Obama just come in a pass new regulations that reverse these? Does it take legislation? I've never been clear on this stuff.
Finally, Bridget and I are also headed out of town. So, don't expect much blogging from us after today.
yes, obama can re-write the regs. but it still takes a lot of time. but also his cabinet heads can basically choose to not enforce the regs until changes can be made. but alot of damage can be done before january 20.
No doubt a lot of nasty crap can happen by January 20. I hope that the Congressional Dems stand up to W. fiercely now that he's a lame duck.
