Sounds like the SOB is refusing to resign (for now).
Update: I think someone mentioned Eric Zorn earlier this week. I've always really liked him (plus he and Mary Schmich perform together over the holidays and are quite a pair). Anyway, his blog about Blago requires readers to only leave one word comments (sweetbabyjeebus was my fave).
Update: Quinn becomes temporary governor if Rod resigns. Also, the state will likely being proceedings to take power from Governor to assign someone to empty Senate seat.

my colleague Joyce--our government affairs person--flipped through her guide to Illinois legislators and decided pretty much nobody is a good candidate to take Barack's seat.
But, since SOMEBODY has to be named, our short list is comprised of:
-Tammy Duckworth
-Dan Seals
-Jackie Collins. She is the only currently seated elected official on the list we put together. Her bio is good (and she is an African-American, oh, and, her sister graduated from North Park):
