According to some of the papers this morning, throwing your shoes at someone in Iraq is considered one of the worst insults possible. It's definitely a sign of how much he is hated that someone would do so in a setting where he knew he'd be grabbed and pummeled by security.

I thought the 8-years and $155 million was a bit much for al-Zeidi. But, maybe he throws the gyro-ball (or, the even more delicious gyros-ball).
