FIRST!

Don't you just love when people proclaim that in blog comments?

And but so, just returned from a lunchtime jaunt over to the local early voting location. It felt good.

My first presidential vote was cast in 1984 for Walter Mondale. You know, he who just barely lost in the electoral college 525-13. Not hard to imagine that I'm a Cubs' fan too, huh?

Confession time: as has been speculated, once I got to the quiet of the voting booth I could not do it. Some deep, dark part of me would not allow me to cast my vote for the addled dude named "John" with the trophy wife.
Pollsters refer to this as the "Self-Loathing-Moron-Effect."

Ummm, and for the record, I had something in my eyes, and my allergies were acting up and I so was NOT crying when I voted for Barack....

That is excellent! I'm hoping to cast my vote Saturday.

By the way, Ilsa, can you have our marching orders for how to vote on judges by then? Thanks.

I forgot to ask: how many cases of voter fraud did you see at the polls? I hear it's a big problem.

Well, I carried my lucky ACORN in my pocket, and that kept all the fraud-demons at bay.

The judges thing is problematic. So, I just engaged in some good old-fashioned racial profiling: any judge with an Irish surname did NOT get my vote.

What, is that a problem? (and it's the truth!).
