They are starting to throw McCain under the bus

McCain's latest robocalls are despicable. And Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) is calling McCain on them:

Collins will make a formal denouncement of the robocalls. Spokesman Kevin Kelley plans is issuing the following statement: “These kind of tactics have no place in Maine politics. Sen. Collins urges the McCain campaign to stop these calls immediately.”

I hope that more will join suit if McCain continues these antics with so little hope of accomplishing anything but disgracing himself and his party.

Susan Collins is one of those republican women who would actually have been qualified to be on the ticket with McCain. Good for her.

Agreed. And McCain apparently hired the very same company for these robocalls that Bush hired to orchestrate the 2000 election robocalls against McCain himself campaign - the ones talking about his illegitimate black child (which was actually his adopted Bangladeshi daughter). Ick. And sad.

Plus, how many voters are simply ANNOYED by such calls? Especially those in battleground states who are already bombarded with ads at every turn. I would even be irritated if I got one from Barack. They just come across as cheap, desperate and full of misleading info.
