CNN/Time have new polls today which are more favorable than Rasmussen polls from yesterday (though I've read enough on Nate Silver's site to believe that Rasmussen is a republican tool to a certain degree and should be taken with huge grains of salt). So, I'm posting these while ignoring those.
Florida? Really? North Carolina, really really? Wisconsin needs to be shored up, but if the rest are even slightly realistic, that's a big hells ya. Gallup daily poll has Obama +2 nationwide.
So, it seems like the Palin bounce is dead. Long live the Palin bounce.
CNN/Time:
Florida: Obama 48, McCain 48
Indiana: McCain 51, Obama 45
North Carolina: McCain 48, Obama 47
Ohio: Obama 49, McCain 47
Wisconsin: Obama 50, McCain 47
Dates conducted: Sept. 14-16. Error margin: Ranges from 3-3.5 points

chuck todd said the daily polls are shifting in obama's favor as well. typically, when the economy is the central issue in a campaign, the party in power loses. and the only palin story playing right now is her rovian decision to say a big fuck you to the troopergate investigation. awesome, make a small story and big fiasco.
when do we head to WI, IN, or MN for canvassing? Clear your Saturday calendars, people!
John, thanks for posting these polls. I was going to do so, too. It appears that McCain-Palin may have peaked. As was posted earlier, Palin's positives are dropping fast, thanks, I'm sure to Troopergate, as Ilsa mentions, and her poor interview with Charles Gibson. Good stuff.
If in fact these polls represent a trend back towards Obama (and/or a trend away from McCain), then how long until McCain-sanctioned 527s let loose the dogs of hell? Or at least the swiftboats of hell?
We have not seen the last of Jeremiah Wright, that's my prediction.
Hopefully people are sick of the whole "fear and loathing" school of ads. or at least enough people are....
