Anyone ever done this? Thinkin' bout it?

This year, CREDO Action is proud to sponsor the "Pollworkers for Democracy" project — a nonpartisan effort to get more people involved in protecting our elections from despicable tactics like these. We'll provide you with information to supplement your pollworker training, as well as a system to report and track any problems on and before Election Day.

Cook County still needs pollworkers for the November 4th general election. By signing up as a pollworker, you can support our democratic system...and get paid!

Click here to sign up to become a pollworker in Cook County.
The fairness of this year's election is in your hands, and the best place to protect voters is right inside the polling place.

i haven't done it. dave--don't your parents do this on election day or are they judges? anyway, i think my absolute anxiety will force me to go to WI or IN and do some canvassing on the big day. i'm looking into some organized efforts around this, hopefully starting next weekend. will get back to ya!

I think my parents have done both, but their so dedicated, they may both be Democratic judges at this point. The only concern I would have with signing up for working the polls right now is that I think you basically have to vote absentee (at least my folks do). Still, it's something to keep in mind.

I am definitely eager to get more involved in canvassing/organizing and such. Next weekend, ya'll will have to proceed without me as I'll be in Bloomington, IN. I suppose I could try to do some canvassing down there, but mainly that would consist of trying to talk IU numbskulls out of voting for Ron Paul.
