Palin Gaffe Count: 10

Today, Palin proposed a program for government transparency that already exists. Oh, who lead this effort with Sen. Coburn to get it passed? Barack. Who co-sponsored the original bill? Her running mate, McCain.

Next up, she will reform the legislative process to require that the president signs off on all laws.

UPDATE: Another gaffe might have been marrying Todd. TPM put together a delightfully awkward collection of clips from Greta Van Susteren interviewing Todd. It's like watching a nine-year old on a talk show.

Greta seems, um, damaged. I mean sure Todd and GILF too, but mainly Greta.

You know what though, I still think Palin was McCain's best chance to make a big splash. In some ways it worked better than he could have hoped.

Unfortunately, part of naming her as his running mate was the fact that she was going to actually have run with him, as a campaign-mate, for the freaking Presidency of the freaking United freaking States of freaking America.
That's where the wheels came off the plan.

didn't help that at their rally today she called them the "palin/mccain" ticket. and that after she speaks at their joint rallies (with the crowd clapping and screaming), the audience starts to visibly make its way out as soon as john starts speaking. ooops.
