Seriously?!?!

The San Francisco paper just endorsed McCain. I know that endorsements have little or no impact on elections, but still?!?!? Read some of the comments. People are freaking out.

Crazy. And, talk about strange timing. But, it's a SF paper and will maybe help McCain secure 3% of the Frisco vote. Now, if the Scranton Times Tribune or the Des Moines Register endorses McCain, that'd be another story.

Most importantly, this the San Francisco EXAMINER, not their real paper, the Chronicle. This is a right-wing rag. It's the equivelent of the Washington Times (well, replacing Moonies with Fundies)

Here is a mini-bio of the guy who bought the Examiner in 2004:

"Philip Frederick Anschutz (born 28 December 1939 in Russell, Kansas) is an American businessman and supporter of conservative Christian causes. With an estimated current net worth of around $7.8 billion, he is ranked by Forbes as the 31st richest person in the USA."

If the Chronicle endorses McWhine, then it will be worth getting upset about.
