obama camp always says exactly the right thing, cool and cutting:
Obama supporter and chief debate negotiator Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., told MSNBC that "we can handle both," when asked about his reaction to McCain's call to postpone the first debate because of the administration's bailout plan.
"Let us be clear, America: John McCain is a senile old coward, and his campaign is run by crazed dingbats who seem to honestly believe that hijacking a half-hour of the midday news cycle with another weird stunt is a good way to turn those polls around. It’s not. It’s just … embarrassing, for Earth."
I totally agree that this is the proper line of attack.
Something about how being president means managing multiple deeply important things at once, and that Sen. Obama is comfortable campaigning, debating foreign policy, and working with the nation's leadership on resolving the domestic financial crisis all at the same time.
that's exactly right and is pretty much the perspective of several republicans on politico. i can't wait to see what he does to try and get palin out of that debate next week.
barack just held a press conference-basically said that the people need to hear from the person who will be in charge of dealing with this mess just a few months from now. he also said that anyone who wants to be president should be capable of dealing with more than one thing at a time. nice.
also, chuck schumer said he thought mccain's announcement was "weird". said he has not been even remotely involved in the bailout process in dc.

My favorite take on this so far is from Wonkette:

Why is McCain standing behind a lecturn emblazoned with the word "DAVE" on it?
See Bridget, it's not just at home that it's all about your hubby.
